How Can I Help?

Donations & Bequests

Southern Cross Care is a not-for-profit charitable organisation dedicated to providing the best available care to the elderly.

Donations and bequests are wonderful way to support our work now and into the future. They are an important source of income that directly benefits residents and clients through the purchase of equipment, furnishings and lifestyle activities.

When a loved one dies, a memorial donation is a special and thoughtful way to pay tribute to them while supporting an organisation that is close to their heart. By requesting that donations in lieu of flowers be directed to Southern Cross Care, you show your support for the care and services that we provide to so many elderly people. Simply notify the funeral director and request that the funeral notice incudes ‘Donations may be made to Southern Cross Care’ and they will provide donation envelopes at the service. The next of kin are always notified the names of those who have donated in memory of a loved one. The donation amounts are kept confidential.

All donations including In Memoriam donations are acknowledged with a personal letter of thanks. Donations of $2 and over are tax deductible and a receipt is issued.

Leaving a gift in your will is a very special way to help the organisation you care about beyond your lifetime.

Bequests help us to plan for the future and can either be general or directed to a specific area of interest.

All donations to Southern Cross Care, no matter how large or small are highly Valued and gratefully received.
