Our Board

At Southern Cross Care (Broken Hill), we’re proud to be a caring community dedicated to providing quality aged care in New South Wales and Victoria. We operate as an independent, not-for-profit organisation with close ties to Southern Cross Care Australia.

Our Board, made up of passionate and experienced members, oversees everything we do to ensure our residents receive the best possible care. Most of our Board members are part of the Knights of the Southern Cross, a group of dedicated Catholic lay men who bring their commitment to community and service to our organisation. Others come from various backgrounds, bringing diverse expertise to our team. Importantly, none of our Board members receive any payment for their service; their dedication is truly driven by a desire to give back.

The Knights of the Southern Cross have a long tradition of supporting education, charity, and social welfare across Australia. For our branches in Broken Hill and Sunraysia, providing compassionate and respectful aged care to all elderly citizens has become our core mission. We are here to ensure every resident lives with dignity, comfort, and joy.
